Our story

The morning the roses are picked

In the first weeks of spring, the valleys around Kashan turn rose-pink as the Damask roses open. For generations the harvest has followed the same rule: the flowers are gathered at dawn, before the sun draws out their perfume, then carried straight to the still. Golab-giri — the making of rosewater — is a spring ritual of the region. Golab distils that same water, catching the soft, true scent of the rose with nothing added.

How it's made

The Damask roses are picked at dawn and distilled the same day in a copper still, so the petals give up their perfume at its freshest. Nothing else goes in — the rosewater is pure and unfiltered, bottled straight from the still.

How to use it

Mist it lightly over the face as a refreshing water, or spritz it on the body for a soft, clean scent. It also makes a gentle room mist and a classic addition to desserts and drinks.

Good to know

How do I use the mist?

Mist it lightly over the face or body for a fresh, soft scent, or spritz it into the air as a gentle room scent. It is a light, natural water — use it as often as you like.

How should I store it?

Keep the bottle closed and out of direct sunlight. Stored cool and dark, rosewater keeps its fresh scent for a long time.

Can I drink it?

Golab rosewater has been used in Persian cooking for centuries — a little in desserts, syrups and drinks. Our cooking rosewater is bottled for that use.

What does it smell like?

True and softly floral — the fresh, gentle scent of the Damask rose, not a heavy perfume. Because it is distilled without anything added, it stays clean and natural.

How is it made?

The petals are distilled in a copper still and the water is bottled straight out of it. No alcohol, no fragrance oil, no preservatives — just rosewater.

What is Golab-giri?

It is the traditional making of rosewater, and a spring ritual of the Kashan region. The Damask roses are picked at dawn and distilled that same day, before their perfume fades in the heat.
